30cm (W) x 22.5cm (H) x 3.5cm (D)

This small painting was created for a recent themed exhibition which sadly needed to close early due to these extraordinary times.
The theme was 'volition' which gave me quite a task to apply my love of  painting flowers to such a word!
I chose to paint a Morning Glory plant as I think it has a very pretty flower, however no-one would want this plant in their garden. It is extremely rampant and would before long smother all existing plants and trees, at it's own volition.
The deep green background is textured to give the effect of the dense foliage which typifies this plant and I have continued the leaves around the edges of the canvas.
This work has an oil glaze to protect and enhance and is signed on the side
