I have always loved these Oriental Lilies for their perfume and for their serene appearance and the effect of purity they portray.  The reference  was a recent photograph I took of a bouquet of lilies which I couldn't resist painting. The folds and curves of the silky soft petals are a delight to paint and, I hope, to look upon!
