Here is my version of double tulips in all their multi-petalled glory! So beautiful with all the complicated petal structure more common to a peony or a very well-bred rose.  In fact these are sometimes called 'peony tulips' and you can see why this is so. I have attempted, as always, to reproduce an example of the beauty that nature can produce so that all might enjoy at any time of the year. 
The original artwork, painted in acrylics on canvas, was my interpretation of part of a photograph by Loretta @bloominglovelytamborinemount, painted with permission.
